Much of Footloose’s expedition equipment is sourced from South Africa, where these products are born of necessity.
"In the beginning I imported South African expedition equipment which was probably the best available at that time. The first roof top tent, Eezi-Awn, was one of the products I imported into England. I will never forget the amount of interest I received at the Billing Land Rover show when I slept on the top of the Land Rover in a specially-designed tent on my exhibition stand!" says Paul Marsh.
The range of equipment Footloose 4x4 can supply is enormous, from performance and off-road accessories such as underbody protection, suspension lift kits, winch bumpers, winches and snorkels, to practical expedition gear such as built-in freshwater tanks, additional fuel tanks, fridges, cookers, drawer storage, safes, mains-voltage electrics, GPS, satellite phones, security devices and even powered showers. And we always fit the famous Footloose bottle topper to our expedition vehicles!

Navigation - Wherever you are going you’ll need navigation aids. Footloose 4x4 can advise on and supply basic instruments like compasses or more complex solutions such as satellite navigation. Even with sat-nav, maps are vital. Footloose 4x4 is able to find sources of good maps for most areas of the world.

Electrical - Starting with a split-charge, dual battery system, Footloose can supply and fit all the electrical accessories you may need, including additional sockets, water pumps, fridges and much more. Selecting them is based on the sound experience of the 20-plus expedition vehicles we build every year.

Protection and Recovery - To keep you moving, Footloose 4x4 can fit overland vehicles with sump protection, differential guards and winches which will prevent damage to the engine and running gear and get you through the stickiest driving situations. And we will, of course, train you to use them.

Storage - Rough terrain calls for secure storage, whether cargo nets inside the vehicle saloon or sliding drawers in the back. Footloose 4x4 are past masters at utilising every nook and cranny in a vehicle to tuck away the kit you’ll need for a long trip. We hide security boxes in places you didn’t know existed!

Tents and Awnings - Footloose proudly supplies Eezi-Awn roof tents and awnings but is happy to work with the customer. Sometimes, ground tents make more sense, used as a base camp for exploring an area. We can advise on and supply all the outdoor furniture and bedding you may need for your trip. |

Running Gear - Aside from spare wheel carriers, you’ll need a set of spares relevant to the vehicle you are driving. Footloose 4x4 stocks more items and, before you leave, will recommend running gear modifications relevant to your destination, whether a lift kit or strengthened suspension components. |
